First Edition, under the direction of David Barnhouse, is celebrating twenty-five seasons as one of the finest show choirs in the Midwest. They are choreographed by Brent Holland, and their technical director is Scott "Roadie" Ahlersmeyer. In the past twenty-five years, this select group of young singer/dancers, instrumentalists, and technicians has been recognized on five occasions by the Indiana General Assembly for outstanding achievements in musical performance and community contributions.

First Edition has been named Grand Champion at many contests including Mundelein's Show Choir Invitational, Center Grove's Best of the Midwest, Chicagoland Showcase, Mooresville Invitational, Pekin, Watseka, East Coast Invitational, American Music Festival, Ft. Wayne Carroll, Homestead, Huntington North, Opryland, Edgewood, Lawrence Central, North Central, Showstoppers International, and five times at the Bishop Luers Invitational. They have also performed at national conventions for the Fraternal Order of Eagles and State Farm Insurance.
This outstanding group of young performers has been featured on "This Morning on CBS", "ESPN", and have served as ambassadors for the Lafayette community in Miami, Orlando, Philadelphia, Nashville, Washington D.C., Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, New York City, Europe, the Bahamas, Belize, and Mexico.
